ATTORNEY AT LAW

ABOUT AUSTIN

Austin is an Iowa native and grew up in Williamsburg. He attended the University of Iowa and received his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Ethics & Public Policy. He returned to Iowa City a year later to attend the University of Iowa College of Law where he graduated in May of 2021.

While still working hard as an active law student, Austin became a member of the Pro Bono Society in his first semester for his volunteer work with the State Public Defender’s Office. Austin also gained valuable experience working for Iowa Legal Aid and volunteering with the University of Iowa Legal Clinic, where he represented low-income clients in employment matters and divorce proceedings. Austin also enjoyed working as a Note & Comment editor on the Journal of Race, Gender & Justice where he wrote about racial disparities in sentencing and assisted student writers with their own research and writing.

Austin joined Wandro & Associates in the summer of 2020 as a law clerk and is excited to be joining the firm as an attorney. He is passionate about providing his clients with zealous advocacy and works hard to achieve the best possible results for his clients. Austin looks forward to helping our clients navigate the justice system and is excited to expand his knowledge into other areas of the law. Outside of work, Austin enjoys visiting his family in Oregon and spending time with his rescue cat, Ollie.
